Macular Week 2024

This year, Macular Week runs from Monday 24 to Sunday 30 June.

Macular Week is an opportunity to show the impact of macular disease and highlight why funding research to find a cure is so vital.

Every year, our community comes together to raise awareness, fundraise, and donate what they can to Beat Macular Disease. Here are some fundraising ideas for you:

Beat Macular Disease one bake at a time!

Who doesn’t enjoy a catch-up over a cuppa and a delicious slice of cake? Or perhaps some scones, jam, and cream, with homemade lemonade on a sunny afternoon? Whether you love to bake or you love to buy cake, you can fund sight-saving research and support for people with macular disease by hosting a Catch-up with Cake!

Catch up with friends and family; charge per slice, cookie, cupcake, or entire cake – and every penny raised will bring a cure for macular disease closer, and support people living with it today.

Step Around the World

Step out to Beat Macular Disease with a step challenge to suit you, in your own time and at your own pace. Your ‘Step Around the World (…from home)’ challenge is really simple to do. And for every step you’re sponsored for, together we’re moving a step closer to Beating Macular Disease.

Fill in our short registration form so we can support you with your challenge, and we’ll send you your FREE fundraising pack, including your Step Around the World passport. Once you start fundraising, we’ll also send you a t-shirt and there’s a medal if you reach £250!
